Fresh from the trophy haul of the Staff Awards , the celebrations continued into February, across the charity. In both Gateshead and Middlesbrough, cakes were cut and choir voices in full song as both rehabs rejoiced in the progress of members and residents.
Across both sites, two people marked six months of progress with full graduations from the programme, while a further two in Gateshead, and one in Middlesbrough, marked the half-way point of their journey. With Recovery Coaches, Community, and family and friends at The Hub, and 131 The Venue , both occasions captured the magic of the moment as all seven people celebrated their individual landmarks.

And just a week or so later, it was the Ambassadors’ turn to celebrate. Of the latest 22 people to complete the Ambassador Programme (79% of everyone who began it, in October) two graduates have already been taken on as employees with the charity. In total, 19 people were able to attend the graduation ceremonies, which took place, again, at The Hub in Gateshead, and 131, on Linthorpe Road, Middlesbrough.
The class of ’22/’23 embodied Ambassadors from all four Recovery Connections locations, and included one resident from Middlesbrough’s residential rehab. Scroll down the page to check out the yearbook of the 19 graduates who were able to celebrate with us, on February 6th-7th.
