What is IPS (Individual Placement and Support)?

IPS in an intensive form of employment support and is provided by employment specialists working within the drug and alcohol treatment services.
The employment specialists will work with individuals to understand what type of work would be of interest, help individuals look for suitable jobs, approach employers, support with job applications, provide benefit information to ensure that working can increase income, and provide in-work support if required.

Programme Support

– Based in Gateshead

– Part time

– Salary: Dependent on experience

Supporting the Quasi Residential service the post holder will cover the periods outside of programme delivery and weekends. Supporting the programme participants to build skills for living life in recovery and developing new interests the post will be a crucial role for ongoing success. Mutual aid meeting attendance will be supported by the programme support role.

Building recovery in the community as well as introducing the quasi residential opportunity to GRP  service users will also be a core role.

The posts will be split into 2 key delivery areas – Quasi Residential out of hours (2 wte) & Programme delivery 

All posts require flexible working to ensure consistent cover out of hours over a 7 day period.

Prehab Coach

– Based in Gateshead

– Salary: Dependent on experience

To work as a member of the Gateshead Recovery Partnership as a Prehab Coach. The role will provide support to the Quasi Residential Rehab.

Supporting the Quasi Residential Rehab pathway, the post holder will work with those who have expressed an interest in the programme. Preparation and readiness are key indicators for successful completion of a 6 month residential rehab programme. The post holder will deliver a 3 session preparation programme and provide individual support. Supporting individuals to attend mutual aid meetings will be a requirement of the post.

This post requires flexible working to ensure consistent cover and some out of hours working over a 7 day period
