As members of the Recovery Connections team, our volunteers get involved in all sorts of ways. The opportunities available vary greatly from supporting the running of activity and support groups to helping our administration and reception teams. Our volunteers also contribute to promoting recovery across a number of community hubs around Middlesbrough, Gateshead and Stockton through a range of events.
We have been very fortunate to have had volunteers from a range of ages, backgrounds, cultures and communities over the years and we couldn’t provide the services we do without them.
Every year, our volunteers give up to 7,000 (2016-2017) hours of their own time in total, skills and experience to support our service and the people within it; we were very proud to be re-awarded Investors in Volunteering status in 2020 in recognition of our high standards of support and opportunity.
We believe volunteers are here to add value to Recovery Connections and we welcome anyone who aligns with our values and wants to make a difference.
